Smudging

Smudging is is the practice of burning herbs and grasses as a form of purification. It is believed by many cultures that the smoke from a burning smudge stick/roll also carries ours prayers to the heavens while purifying the space.

The smudge sticks that we offer are made of dried Sage from New mexico. Some offering having been blended with other fragrant herbs or grasses as noted below. Each stick is hand rolled and wrapped with 100% cotton yarn for safe and healthful burning.

Caution should be used in handling a lit smudge stick as unwanted fires may result from improperly handled or extinquished sticks. Please make sure the stick are completely out when finished. Never leave a burning smudge stick unattended.
